With all the back-and-forth drama in the media, it’s easy to forget that Chris Brown is a natural born entertainer. And in spite of all the controversy, C. Breezy has persevered and bounced back from a career low point, making him the perfect cover story for our forthcoming Power issue hitting newsstands next week. His third album Graffiti is slated for a December 8th release, a move that some criticize as being “too soon” for someone that’s still making amends for a self-admitted mistake. But for that, we give Chris Brown credit for his redemption, rising out of the ashes with a positive outlook on life, love and happiness. Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Brown is back.

Chris Brown will premier the video for his second single, “Crawl,” on Friday, VIBE has learned.
The video, which features a cameo role from songbird Cassie, is scheduled to debut on the Wendy Williams Show.
In other Chris Brown news, the singer is set to speak on Good Morning America next month. Not a knee-jerk reaction to ex-girlfriend singer Rihanna’s 20/20 interview Friday, which was teased on Good Morning America one day prior, Brown’s interview was set up more than a month ago.
His album, Graffiti, drops December 8, the same day as VIBE’s relaunch issue, which features a Brown cover story.

Chris Brown releases statement about the CNN Clip.
“There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
The first four times – or how ever many times it was – I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”
Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”

Chris Brown may be in trouble again.
Tuesday, the entertainer was placed under probation by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge. The judge ordered that Brown also serve up to six months of community service for the attack on former girlfriend Rihanna. He has also been ordered to stay away from the songstress during those six months. That night, after the hearing, Brown was seen partying at the L.A. nightclub Guys and Dolls. This wouldn’t have been such a big deal if it weren’t for the fact that the club’s “liquor license is strictly 21+,” says TMZ.
Alcohol Beverage Control was asked if they were going to look into the incident and they said yes but did not mention if it was because of Brown. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Keri Webb, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Probation Department, told E! News, “It (breaking probation) won’t be taken lightly. If you break the law, you’re in trouble.”

“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for your continued support. I’m sorry I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone as this case was on going. I can now say this has been the most painful moment in my entire life, but knowing that you were still standing by Chris side in his time of need made this a little easier for us. Because of all your prayers God brought him through. I just want to say God has never failed me and never will. All moms and dads please stand by your children and pray for their goodness each and everyday. Chris and I love you so much, as the tears fall from my eyes and the pain lingers in my heart I still say thank you God, thank you thank you almighty God. If any of you wonder why I continue to speak of God it’s because I know no other way. I made a promise to him I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to. You see this whole thing isn’t about Chris it’s about God. He wants to show all of you the goodness of him through Chris. Chris will be addressing all of his fans very soon. We love you so much and so does God.”
Thank you.

Judge Patricia Schnegg said during the sentencing, “I am not immune to the chatter on the airwaves.” It’s unclear if she was saying that she’s heard reports that Brown and Rihanna are still talking … or if she was just saying he needs to be careful because she watches TV and reads TMZ. To us, it sounded like the former.
Down to business, the judge sentenced Brown to perform hard labor at the Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, VA, where he must also take a 52-week domestic violence course.
The judge ruled Brown — who pleaded guilty to felony assault — must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna, unless they are both at an entertainment-related event, in which case he must stay 10 yards away. The protective order lasts 5 years.
He must provide DNA samples as requested by authorities.
Brown must also keep in touch with the Probation Department and is subject to search and seizure 24/7 for the next 5 years. He can’t own any dangerous weapons, including guns or knives.
Chris Brown: Click to watchBrown must pay $2,500 in restitution and another $2,500 in probation expenses. He must also pay a $30 criminal conviction fee — BARGAIN! He must also pay $400 that goes into a domestic violence fund.
Brown must get prior approval before leaving the country.
As Brown left court, female fans could be heard screaming “I love you.”

The embattled American singer Chris Brown is preparing for a musical comeback, his friends say. Last week in Hollywood, Insider bumped into a good mate of Chris Brown’s, who exclusively revealed details of the star’s plans for his comeback album.
“His music is just too good to not come through,”said the close friend, a dancer and choreographer who toured Australia with the singer.
In February, Chris Brown, 20, was arrested for attacking then girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards. After his guilty plea, he is due to be formally sentenced to five years probation on August 27.
The controversy resulted in Chris Brown being dumped from several lucrative product endorsements, including Wrigley’s chewing gum.
“I honestly, truth be told, I felt like something needed to happen in his life to allow him to open his eyes to reality,” the friend said.
Chris Brown has penned tracks Transformers and Just Let Me Live for the album, which has a working title of Graffiti.
“Just Let Me Live personifies what he’s been going through,” according to the insider.

Rhianna is prepared to testify at Chris Brown’s preliminary hearing today, which would mark the first time she publicly tells her side of what happened the night her boyfriend allegedly assaulted her, CNN reports. The star may be questioned by Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, about the couple’s Grammy-night argument in a rented Lamborghini that, according to charges, turned violent. Though Geragos has said he wanted to avoid a public trial, plea-deal talks failed and a judge last week rejected his request to delay the hearing. The 20-year-old Brown pleaded “not guilty” to felony counts of assault and making criminal threats; he could face up to four years and eight months in prison if convicted. Cameras will not be allowed in today’s hearing, which determines whether there is enough evidence against Brown to go to trial.
