From ThatGrapeJuice.com — After a tumultuous 2009, it appears things are finally on the up for Chris Brown. Following the announcement that the R&B star will be taking his ‘Fan Appreciation Tour’ around the globe, BET have confirmed that the 20 year old star will be headlining their forthcoming ‘Spring Bling’ extravaganza on April 10th.

Brown phoned in to the network’s flagship show, 106 & Park, yesterday to elaborate on his appearance – his first ‘proper’ televised set since…you know what.

It’s great to see Chris being allowed to press on with what he does best – entertaining. Mistakes are made – that’s a given; yet they are there to be learned from.

Brown, who has been vying for a way to revitalize his career following his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has resorted to desperate measures to stage his comeback.

The 20-year-old singer-dancer, who plead guilty to felony assault and is on probation for five years, recorded an audio message Wednesday on Say Now asking his fans to “bring [him] back.” A humbled Brown said he needs his fans’ help. “Some radio stations aren’t playing my records,” he said. “They’re not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to. But it’s on the fans…It’s in your power to bring me back.”

Brown said he is doing everything he can do. He refers to himself as a “better person” and said he is doing his music for the love, but added that his career is in jeopardy.
“It won’t be possible for me to be an artist if I don’t have support from people who give me an artist outlet,” Brown said. “I can’t be an underground mixtape artist.”
Brown sounds stressed out. After releasing two previously successful albums, it has got to be tough experiencing such a decline in support for his current album, Graffiti.

I know it’s been a year since the incident, he has accepted his sentence, and was previously praised by the judge for following through with his community service, but he needs to relax. It is going to take some time for him to repair his reputation. He needs to be patient. He just re-emerged on Twitter at @ChrisBrown and is keeping it positive so far. He Tweeted about reading to 3rd grade students at a school in Harlem. This feels like a better plan. Releasing a new album just eight months after the altercation was just too soon.

What do you guys think?

Rihanna turned to pen and pad shortly after being assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. While she has been mum on just how much of her latest album, “Rated R” is related to the incident, Rihanna says “Cold Case Love” is the song “everybody wanted to hear”.

“It’s a song that everybody wanted to hear,” says Rihanna. “Everything that I didn’t say for the past eight months, exactly how I felt about that relationship and how I feel about it now – that song says it all.”

A departure from the flirty singles “Rude Boy” and “Hard,” “Cold Case Love” includes the lyrics “What you did to me was a crime” and follows the cut “Stupid In Love”.

Chris Brown headed to a Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday (Feb. 18) where he received rave reviews for working to complete the terms of his probation. “It looks like you’re doing really, really well,” Judge Patricia M. Schnegg informed him. “That’s always good to see.”

Thus far Brown has attended 17 of his court appointed 52 domestic violence classes and has completed 32 days of his community labor sentence. Brown, alongside his lawyer Marc Geragos, responsed to the judge’s praises with a “thank you.” The judge also cleared him to travel around the country for concert dates between May 18 and June 27.

The ‘Run It’ singer was sentenced to five years probation for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna last February. He has since apologized for the incident both in several interviews and is working on rebuilding his damaged public image. The 20-year-old dropped his third album ‘Graffiti’ last September and embarked on a 19-city “fan appreciation” tour. Brown will return to court on May 11.

Chris Brown has been hanging out at the runway shows during Paris Fashion Week. Seems harmless enough, right?

The R&B singer who had that whole nasty thing with Rihanna made a wise choice when he decided to see Jean Paul Gaultier’s presentation. He’s an iconic couture designer after all, and his shows are notoriously clever.

So clever, in fact, that Gaultier got in on the action, covering his face with makeup to look like blood and bruises in order to match his boxing-themed collection.

But then Brown had to go and pose for pictures with him. Awkward!

Singer Chris Brown continues to promote his CD Graffiti as well as show up at clubs and various events. But the singer’s fashion choices have many raising their eyebrows. Brown was pictured at a Milan fashion show recently in a gray suit with long black leather gloves. Last week, he appeared at an event in baggy, pegged pants with black and white plaid and polka-dotted lace-up shoes.

Brown’s fashion choices have been questioned for a while, ever since he made an appearance on The Larry King Show last summer to talk about his assault on Rihanna wearing a bow tie and a sweater.

Some felt that the pants he wears on the cover of Graffiti were way too tight, a charge he answered with a Tweet (before removing his Twitter account) saying, “It’s called fashion. I’m so tired of closed minded people. I’m 100% comfortable wit my sexuality. I’m a grown man.” The Tweet was quickly removed.

Brown continues to serve his five year probation period in connection with that assault.
